5/20 COVID19 Closure Update

Updates for MO families on the forty-first day of the COVID-19 health-related closure:

  • This week I launched a multistage process to develop the preliminary recommendations for our 2020-21 re-entry plan utilizing strategies and frameworks from the NJSBA, CSSO, AAP, CDC, and NJDOE to guide our work. Once the preliminary recommendations are assembled students and parents will have opportunities for input. Finally the plan will pass through every BoE Committee and have the input of the full BoE. The goal is to have our reentry plans shared with the community in early June so that all of our stakeholders are well informed as to the various scenarios and options for the next 2020-21 school year.
  • Pursuant to new NJDOE requirements for school districts, please review the daily attendance procedures that commenced on 5/18:
  • Linked is the schedule of Parent University sessions for the remainder of May.
  • Based on Governor Murphy's directive, the Mount Olive Township School District will continue home instruction according to our Health-Related Closure Plan for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. All athletics and activities are canceled as well. Please go to tinyurl.com/MOhealthplan and view the MOTSD Health-Related Closure Plan for daily updates, as well as, vital information about home instruction schedules, WiFi access, free and reduced meals, and continuity of District operations.
  • In an effort to continue to support the Mount Olive Township School District community, breakfast and lunch are now available for any student free of charge. Meals will be distributed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 am - 9:30 am at the Mount Olive Middle School. The district will provide meals on three days each week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays): Complete this form to sign-up for meals. Students qualifying for free and reduced lunch who have already signed up or have been receiving meal delivery do not need to complete this form.
